THE ROMAN HOLIDAYS --- 1972
THE ROMAN HOLIDAYS were an attempt to recreate the success of THE FLINTSTONES and THE JETSONS formula of a nuclear family's misadventures set in a different time, in this case during the Roman Empire.
Despite a worthy premise and top notch voice talent for the character of Mr Evictus provided by Dom Deluise, the show never really caught on and ran a mere thirteen 30 minute episodes from Sept 1972 to December 1972.
++++ apologies for not having a full episode to post.I've scoured the net, but to no avail. +++++

ROMAN HOLIDAYS was one of the very few shows whose comic book rights slipped past then-current Hanna Barbera rights holder, Charlton Comics. The rights, instead, were given to Gold Key,who did a superb job of conveying both the look and feel of the show while maintaining the high quality of humor over the course of 4 issues cover dated February 1973 to November 1973.
