KORG: 70,000 BC was a Hanna Barbera live action series revolving around the neanderthal family of Korg and his mate Mara, and their family and friends.It was also one of those rare Hanna Barbera shows that was straight up drama,forgoing the humor of the vast majority of their shows.
The show ran from Sept 1974 to August 1975 with a total of 16 episodes.It was presented as portraying an accurate representation of neanderthal life based on current knowledge, with the violence toned down of course since it was a kids program.Hanna Barbera even brought in Burgess Meredith to be the voice of the narrator.Sadly, the show couldn't compete with another show that also premiered the same season, THE LAND OF THE LOST with it's dinosaurs and sci-fi stories, and it was canceled after just one season.

1974 GIVE-A-SHOW slide story
Charlton Comics ran 9 comic book issues cover dated May 1975 to November 1976.Each issue contained stories and art by Pat Boyette in addition to his stunningly breathtaking painted covers on the series run.
Sadly, Charlton's presses were quite old and they didn't do justice to Boyette's wonderful and vibrant paintings.

Geez those original paintings are mouth-wateringly exquisite! And nice seeing the original b&w inked pages, too!
